High School Completion Program
To earn a High School Equivalency Diploma from the Iowa Department of Education, students must now take the new HiSET test. This test replaces the GED test which is no longer given in Iowa. Anyone who started but did not complete GED testing will have to start over with the HiSET test.
The High School Completion program (formerly the GED program) offers classes to improve basic reading, writing, and math skills before taking the HiSET test to complete your high school equivalency diploma.
Students in the High School Completion program study and test in five different subject areas.
- Social Studies
The HiSET test is computer-based. You will learn needed computer skills while you study in the High School Completion program.
